About Me
Peter is an up and coming jazz saxophonist based in New York City. He hold an undergraduate degree and masters in jazz studies. Peter recently was a finalist in the 2024 Carinthian Jazz Saxophone award placing 3rd and winning the audience choice award. In my free time I like to run, hike, play tennis, and meditate.
How I Teach
Peter holds and undergraduate degree in jazz from James Madison University and a masters from the Eastman School of Music. I try to listen to what my students hopes and dreams for their playing are and try to get them closer to their goal. I do not believe in band-aid solutions to musical progress and try to inspire the student as much as possible! I take a holistic approach to teaching, starting with the most basic fundamentals before moving on to advanced repertoire. I specialize in woodwinds and piano!
