Community Guidelines

Effective Date: October 6, 2025

Entity: Thoven Corp., Delaware, USA

Our Community Promise

At Thoven, we're building a community grounded in trust, respect, and creativity. Whether you're a teacher, parent, or student, our goal is to make learning music joyful, safe, and human. These guidelines exist to ensure that everyone can share, learn, and grow together in an environment built on professionalism, care, and integrity.

By using Thoven, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines — alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1. Our Shared Values

  • Respect – Treat every teacher, parent, and student with kindness and professionalism.
  • Safety First – Protect children's privacy, report concerns immediately, and communicate only within approved channels.
  • Learning-First Mindset – Use Thoven for education and mentorship — not promotion, personal relationships, or unrelated business.
  • Integrity – Be honest in all representations: your qualifications, your identity, and your feedback.
  • Transparency – Parents stay informed, students stay protected, and teachers stay accountable.

2. For Teachers

What's Expected

  • Maintain professionalism in every interaction.
  • Keep communications, scheduling, and payments on Thoven — this protects both you and your students.
  • Deliver lessons with consistency, respect, and patience.
  • Use Thoven tools (calendars, dashboards, progress reports) to provide clarity and structure.
  • Report any technical or behavioral concerns promptly to support@thoven.co.

What's Not Allowed

  • Off-platform communication with minors or parents outside approved channels.
  • Sharing personal contact information with underage students.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior of any kind.
  • Uploading explicit, violent, or unsafe content.
  • Circumventing payments or requesting direct transfers.

Background Checks & Identity Verification

All teachers must pass a background check through Checker and verify identity through Persona. Thoven may re-run checks periodically for safety compliance.
