About Me
Based in Los Angeles, California, Chris is a freelance trombonist with extensive experience playing classical, jazz, contemporary and popular styles of music. He is a current member of the San Luis Obispo Symphony, California Young Artists Symphony, Civic Orchestra of Los Angeles and has performed with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. He holds two degrees in Trombone Performance, a Master of Music from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan.
How I Teach
Whether I’m teaching someone who is picking up the trombone for the first time or someone who is preparing a recital or audition, I value meeting my students at their individual level—tailoring my approach based on their needs and goals as students. Because every student learns differently, I adapt my approach to each individual while still drawing from a strong foundation of pedagogical principles and keeping long-term growth in mind.
