Kiona Burgess

I'm a violinist originally from Texas with 20 plus years of performance experience. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Music in 2020. I have experience working as a conductor for beginner and intermediate orchestra, private instructor, and Early Childhood Music Educator. Over the years I have learned to work with various age groups, even working with students as young as 3 years old. Through my own journey from a young musician to a teacher I do not solely focus on helping my students reach their musical goals, I also focus on growing them into confident musicians along the way. What I love most about teaching is the joy that I get to share with my students when I see the excitement of them reaching a new goal. Through our lessons I often like to reflect on their growth and celebrate how far they've come on their musical journey.
