About Me
Hi! My name is Evan and I am a trumpet player based in New York City and Brussels, Belgium. I graduated with my Masters degree from Juilliard in 2024, and I have been teaching trumpet for about 7 years. Teaching is a huge passion of mine, I love getting to know students and to figure out what works for them to see results, and to watch them fall in love with making music. I'm looking forward to getting started with your child and to tap into their potential!
How I Teach
I approach each student with a blank slate, and an open mind to trying out different methods to see what yields the best results. Each student requires a tailored approach, so I design my method for each student as I work with them. Sometimes the focus is on getting them excited to pick up the instrument, while other times the focus is on refining their technique and musicality. I incorporate music literacy, theory, and repertoire knowledge with all of my students. I also frequently play for my students to show them what can be possible with enough practice!
