About Me

Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began taking piano lessons at eight years old, and over the past 15 years, it has become one of the most meaningful and rewarding skills I've ever developed. Throughout the years, I've had the opportunity to perform in a variety of settings, from weddings to grand openings for research institutes across Florida. Those experiences taught me that piano isn't just about playing the right notes—it's about telling a story, expressing emotion, and connecting with the people listening. What makes me especially qualified to teach isn't only my years of playing, but my years of teaching. As an educator, I've spent nearly a decade helping students of all ages learn in ways that make sense to them. Whether I was teaching swimming, tutoring academics, leading clinical skills training, or helping beginning piano students, I've learned that every child thinks differently. My job is to recognize how your child learns best and adapt my teaching so concepts become exciting instead of intimidating. Piano has also been my own place of peace. No matter how busy life gets, sitting down at the keyboard has always been a way to slow down, think creatively, and reconnect with myself. It has strengthened my problem-solving skills, patience, and imagination—and, admittedly, it's also the perfect excuse to finally get the songs that have been looping in my head all day out into the world. My goal is to help every student experience that same joy. I want them to leave each lesson feeling a little more confident, a little more curious, and excited to sit down at the piano again—not because they have to, but because they genuinely want to.

How I Teach

I don't believe in simply telling students which keys to press. Instead, I help students understand how music works so they become independent musicians who can confidently learn new pieces throughout their lives. Every lesson is designed to build confidence, creativity, and genuine enjoyment—not just technical ability. For Young Children (Ages 4–7) My youngest students learn through games, storytelling, movement, colorful visuals, and creative activities that keep lessons fun while introducing real musical concepts. Children often don't even realize how much they're learning because the lessons feel like play. For Older Students & Adults Older beginners move through the same curriculum using age-appropriate explanations and music that reflects their personal interests and goals. Whether you're preparing for recitals, playing for personal enjoyment, or finally fulfilling a lifelong dream of learning piano, lessons are tailored to help you reach those goals.

One of the greatest gifts my parents ever gave me was enrolling me in piano lessons.

Looking back, learning the piano at eight years old became one of the most influential decisions of my childhood. At the time, I couldn't have understood the sacrifices my parents were making to give me that opportunity. Lesson after lesson, year after year, they invested not only financially, but in a skill that would quietly shape the person I would become. As I grew older, I realized they hadn't simply paid for piano lessons—they had given me a lifelong companion. Many of the songs I know today were pieces my parents loved hearing me play. Those melodies have stayed with me long after childhood. Even now, if I come across a piano in an airport, a hotel lobby, or a quiet corner of a café, I'll often sit down and play those same songs. In an instant, I'm transported back to my childhood, to family gatherings, and to the memories that first made me fall in love with music. To me, music is a personalized time machine. Every piece carries a story, a season of life, or a person I'll never forget. As life became more complicated, the piano became something even more meaningful. During seasons of loneliness, uncertainty, or moments when I struggled to make sense of what was happening around me, I always found my way back to the keyboard. It became a place where words weren't necessary. It challenged me, calmed me, and reminded me that beauty can exist alongside hardship. Because of that, I don't simply teach students how to play songs. I hope to give them a skill they can carry with them for the rest of their lives. A skill that might one day become their creative outlet, their confidence, their source of peace after a difficult day, or a way to reconnect with the people and memories they love most. If I can help create that same gift for another child—one that grows with them long after the lessons are over—then I know I'm doing exactly what I was meant to do.
