Carlos Cabrera

Hi, I’m Carlisio (Mr. C)—a professional musician, record producer, and educator. Born in Los Angeles, raised in the Midwest, and now living in New York, I’ve been fortunate to gain a wealth of experience performing at iconic venues like Rockwood Music Hall, Brooklyn Bowl, The Bitter End, and The Bowery Electric, as well as touring and recording professionally. I’ve had the privilege of teaching students aged 5 to 75 and I am deeply passionate about sharing the knowledge I’ve gained over the years. I'm dedicated to teaching transferable skills like communication, leadership, and teamwork through music. I strive to create a fun and flexible environment where students of all ages can discover themselves and realize their potential through music. I firmly believe that the only limits we face are the ones we place on ourselves. I believe music lessons should be fun, engaging, and personalized. My lessons combine the music you enjoy with essential skills such as technique, music theory, ear training, rhythm, and repertoire. While I help students stay accountable to their goals and make consistent progress, I strive to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where learning feels enjoyable rather than stressful. Music should be something you look forward to, and my goal is to help you grow as a musician while having fun along the way.
