About Me

Welcome! I am a concert pianist and certified music educator with over 20 years of experience helping students of all ages—from young beginners to adults and neurodivergent learners—discover the joy of studying piano. My musical foundation was built through classical training in Russia, followed by studies at the Manhattan School of Music and Hunter College in NYC, where I earned a Master’s Degree in Music Education. Over two decades of teaching, I have had the privilege of guiding students through every stage of their musical growth, whether they are playing their first notes on the piano or preparing for advanced classical performance. As an Royal Conservatory of Music Certified Teacher and experienced Certificate of Merit educator, I specialize in building strong technical foundation while nurturing artistry and creativity. My students consistently achieve exceptional results and score high marks on RCM and CM evaluations, with notable student achievements including an RCM Regional Gold Medal. My teaching style incorporates music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and performance preparation to ensure every student develops into a well-rounded musician. In addition to private studio instruction, my background includes serving as a collaborative pianist at San Diego State University and leading K–12 music programs, allowing me to adapt fluidly to diverse learning styles and unique educational needs. I strive to cultivate a nurturing, encouraging, and structured environment where high artistic standards meet individualized care. Whether your goal is to master classical repertoire, excel in formal examinations and competitions, or simply cultivate a lifelong love of music, I look forward to supporting you on your journey!

How I Teach

Creating a warm, encouraging, and organized environment is at the heart of my studio. I work extensively with learners of all ages, from young children to adults and neurodivergent students, adapting my communication and pacing to fit each individual's needs. By combining patient mentorship with high artistic standards, I strive to build authentic confidence, joyful curiosity, and enduring musical independence in every student who sits at the piano.
