Welcome! I’m Dr. Bui, and I’m thrilled you’re taking the next step in your musical journey. Growing up as a Vietnamese-American pianist, music became my passport to the world. It led me to earn my Doctorate in Piano Performance, perform on America’s Got Talent, and teach at institutions like Kean University and Rutgers Prep. But no matter how big the stage, my favorite place to be is in the studio, watching a student experience that "aha!" moment when a difficult piece finally clicks. I know that starting or continuing piano can feel daunting. That’s why I bring the exact same enthusiasm to a beginner's very first scale as I do to a university masterclass. My goal is to illuminate the beauty of the great composers in a way that feels fresh, relevant, and inspiring to you today. Life can be difficult, but the piano has always been my sanctuary. The moment I place my fingers on the keys... even for just a few seconds, my mood completely changes. It’s a feeling that words can’t easily explain; it’s like stepping away from reality into a world of pure creativity. Music is a beautiful, accessible language. Whether I’m improvising, honoring the history of a piece, or remembering the incredible musical moments I’ve shared with my own teachers and friends, it brings me pure happiness.
