“Study with a Working Touring Pro Musician My name is Chris Collier and I am a professional musician living and working in Nashville, Tennessee. I have been gigging professionally since 2015 and teaching private lessons since 2014. For the last year and a half I've toured with the grammy-nominated act The War and Treaty, and I also play with other acts like Amythyst Kiah, The Kentucky Gentlemen, Kylie Morgan, Safari Room, and others when I can! I've played in front of crowds of more than 26k and played multiple times on national television (The Late Show, Kelly Clarkson show, etc). I've toured playing rock, blues, funk, and country, but I also play quartet gospel at church when I'm in town, do sessions for RnB, pop, and folk artists, and write a bit with artists that I've played with for awhile. All of this experience means that I can help you whether your goal is to play in a band, audition for college music programs, write your own songs, work within a DAW, develop your general musicianship, or just learn your favorite songs! The list of artists I have worked for includes: The War and Treaty, Kylie Morgan, Thunderstorm Artis, Mike Hicks, Doug McCormick, Brother Maven, Aberdeen, Cody Webb, Caitlin Mae, Arlana, The 12 South Band, the 8 South Band, Safari Room, Colleen Orender, Kiera Loveless, Natalie Johnson, Katie Davis, Chip Colon, Faith Jackson, Hopscotch Mafia, Julia Allen, and more. I've recorded lead guitar on records for The War and Treaty, Jaye Madison, Arlana, Chip Colon, Monica Hutcheson, Safari Room, Miranda Powell, as well as others. I perform every week around Nashville, nearly every weekend in different states across the country, and have toured internationally through Europe and Canada. I graduated from Belmont University in the Spring of 2018 with a degree in Commercial Music, so I have had the "conservatory training" in regards to music theory and history, but also have the real world experience to know what a player actually needs to sound like a pro.”

“I am a classically trained singer. I have been singing since I was 15 years old and have experienced beautiful things I would otherwise not have had if it were not for music. I started teaching privately 12 years ago. I started out as a voice teacher at the Music Academy and Recording Studio I was working at and worked my way up to Assistant Vocal Director and Director of Music for Young Children (ages 2-9). I have worked with students of different abilities and disabilities ranging from Autism to Cerebral Palsy. I have traveled to Italy with my college choir and performed in many parts of Italy including Rome, Florence and the Vatican City. I have attended many prestigious Summer programs such as South Shore Conservatory, Boston Conservatory and Eastman. My passion is teaching.”

“I want to focus on making music fun for younger/beginner students, and challenging for those more advanced students. Having long term goals, but clearly defined short term steps to work towards them helps students stay engaged and motivated since they can actually see the progress and why we do each thing we do. Everything is intentional, and everything is fun.”

“Alessandro Ayer is a Colombian American music producer/songwriter, as well as a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, piano, drums, bass). He began piano lessons at the age of 8 and guitar lessons at the age of 12. He has also taken several music theory courses in college while attaining a Bachelors degree at UC Irvine, in addition to voice training and advanced piano classes. He began writing songs at the age of 16, and has been producing music since 2007 in vibrant fashion ever since he purchased a MacBook and started learning GarageBand. He would soon after begin mastering Logic Pro, taking his production skills to another level. In the fall of 2011, he entered a recording arts degree program at the Los Angeles Film School where he sparked the interest of a MIDI instructor who had done production/mixing work for the likes of Dev and The Cateracs. They then began working on a few remixes together for promo use, after which he would gain a steady following in the EDM realm. In 2018, he spent 6 months producing and performing keyboards for alternative R&B group TwoLips while playing several shows at prominent Los Angeles venues such as The Echo and The Hi Hat. He wrote and released music for a band he created back in 2020 called E.T. Man, mixing such styles as electronic rock and synthwave. He is now working on a new "synth-grunge" project called Say Hello To Heaven. He is also fully bilingual in English and Spanish.”

“Hi! I’m Dr. Bui, and I’m thrilled you’re taking the next step in your musical journey. Growing up as a Vietnamese-American pianist, music became my passport to the world. It led me to earn my Doctorate in Piano Performance, perform on America’s Got Talent, and teach at institutions like Kean University and Rutgers Prep. But no matter how big the stage, my favorite place to be is in the studio, watching a student experience that "aha!" moment when a difficult piece finally clicks. I know that starting or continuing piano can feel daunting. That’s why I bring the exact same enthusiasm to a beginner's very first scale as I do to a university masterclass. My goal is to illuminate the beauty of the great composers in a way that feels fresh, relevant, and inspiring to you today. Let’s work together to unlock your potential, build great habits, and achieve your musical dreams!”

“If it sounds good, it is good." That legendary philosophy by master brass pedagogue Arnold Jacobs is the exact foundation of my teaching. Too many students get trapped in their own heads worrying about the hyper-mechanics of their face muscles. In my studio, we shift the focus to producing a beautiful, resonant, and natural sound. I utilize targeted mouthpiece and rim buzzing in every lesson as a powerful tool to reinforce great air support. By training the brain to focus on a rich, vibrant sound-picture first, the body naturally relaxes. This "air-first" approach helps students break through technical blocks, protects their muscles from fatigue, and makes playing Trombone, Euphonium (sometimes mistaken for the Baritone), or Tuba feel completely effortless!”

“Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began taking piano lessons at eight years old, and over the past 15 years, it has become one of the most meaningful and rewarding skills I've ever developed. Throughout the years, I've had the opportunity to perform in a variety of settings, from weddings to grand openings for research institutes across Florida. Those experiences taught me that piano isn't just about playing the right notes—it's about telling a story, expressing emotion, and connecting with the people listening. What makes me especially qualified to teach isn't only my years of playing, but my years of teaching. As an educator, I've spent nearly a decade helping students of all ages learn in ways that make sense to them. Whether I was teaching swimming, tutoring academics, leading clinical skills training, or helping beginning piano students, I've learned that every child thinks differently. My job is to recognize how your child learns best and adapt my teaching so concepts become exciting instead of intimidating. Piano has also been my own place of peace. No matter how busy life gets, sitting down at the keyboard has always been a way to slow down, think creatively, and reconnect with myself. It has strengthened my problem-solving skills, patience, and imagination—and, admittedly, it's also the perfect excuse to finally get the songs that have been looping in my head all day out into the world. My goal is to help every student experience that same joy. I want them to leave each lesson feeling a little more confident, a little more curious, and excited to sit down at the piano again—not because they have to, but because they genuinely want to.”
