“I am only available virtually at the moment-have an at home studio Hi! I’m Gigi, a vocalist, music educator, and music therapy intern currently in the process of becoming a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC). I have extensive experience teaching advanced voice lessons, as well as beginner piano and guitar, to students of all ages and backgrounds. Along with private teaching, I have experience working with children, adults, and older adults with a wide range of mental and physical disabilities. I believe that taking the time to truly get to know each person allows me to create lessons that fit their unique learning style, goals, and interests. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time, looking to strengthen your voice, or hoping to grow as a musician, I’ll provide a supportive and encouraging environment where you can learn with confidence and enjoy the journey.”

“After playing in rock and metal bands in the 1980s and 1990s, I decided to study classical guitar with Duncan Wood, whose teacher studied with Andres Segovia. I love to play the blues, too. My teaching style is patient, casual, and fun. I pride myself on consistently focusing on the student's goals and needs, and my lessons reflect that student-led approach. I teach all styles, on both acoustic and electric guitar. It's also important to me to show students how to take care of their guitars, even how to change their own strings. Students can expect to learn how to play the guitar as independent musicians, not just how to play songs on the guitar.”

“Hello! I am a classically trained opera singer based in Baltimore, Maryland and I have been teaching voice and piano for nearly 5 years. I use my classical training as a singer to influence student led lessons that expand upon the principles of strong breath support, understanding the vocal mechanism and freedom of the voice. I use these same core principles not only to teach classical voice but contemporary and musical theatre singing as well. For piano students, I use the Faber and Faber Piano Adventures Methods books supplemented by my own scale exercises and visual aids. I continue to perform in the Baltimore area and love to share my love of music with those around me, especially new learners!”

“Alessandro Ayer is a Colombian American music producer/songwriter, as well as a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, piano, drums, bass). He began piano lessons at the age of 8 and guitar lessons at the age of 12. He has also taken several music theory courses in college while attaining a Bachelors degree at UC Irvine, in addition to voice training and advanced piano classes. He began writing songs at the age of 16, and has been producing music since 2007 in vibrant fashion ever since he purchased a MacBook and started learning GarageBand. He would soon after begin mastering Logic Pro, taking his production skills to another level. In the fall of 2011, he entered a recording arts degree program at the Los Angeles Film School where he sparked the interest of a MIDI instructor who had done production/mixing work for the likes of Dev and The Cateracs. They then began working on a few remixes together for promo use, after which he would gain a steady following in the EDM realm. In 2018, he spent 6 months producing and performing keyboards for alternative R&B group TwoLips while playing several shows at prominent Los Angeles venues such as The Echo and The Hi Hat. He wrote and released music for a band he created back in 2020 called E.T. Man, mixing such styles as electronic rock and synthwave. He is now working on a new "synth-grunge" project called Say Hello To Heaven. He is also fully bilingual in English and Spanish.”

“Please note online lessons are available for anyone but in-person lessons are available only for NYC residents with additional travel costs. I regularly perform in the NYC and Australian jazz scenes in bands such as Crypsis Trio, Dropbear Lodge, and Brooklyn Qawaali Party, and I have 20 years of experience teaching students of all levels from. No matter the students' level, my focus is not just on WHAT to play on the guitar; I emphasize a step-by-step process regarding HOW to practice the concept, deconstruct the core issue, and ultimately experience a lifetime of joy that music brings. Beginner students will immediately learn songs from their favorite artists while developing the correct fundamentals. Experienced students will be assisted in refining their existing techniques, understanding, and practices while still being challenged to develop new skills and update their goals. I am thankful to have studied and performed with some of the world's most elite musicians in NYC and Australia. My study with late jazz greats John Abercrombie and Vic Juris is an experience I emulate when helping others. Forging connections with students and assisting in their musical development is the most rewarding aspect of my work. I look forward to hearing from you!”
